The Health Sciences Building is part of the IU Bloomington/IU Health Regional Academic Health Center.

Our building is located on the City of Bloomington Transit College Mall line as well as the IU Campus Bus “E” route. Please visit Bloomington Transit or Indiana University Campus Bus Service for schedules and route information.

Staff, faculty, & student parking

Faculty, staff, and students who have purchased IU parking passes should note that IU Parking Operations now requires that all state-issued license plates face the driving lanes. If you back into parking spots you will be required to purchase a front plate. Hang tags are still required during the transition period to license plate recognition. All parking inquiries should be directed to IU Parking Operations.

Meeting room technology

Choosing a Classroom or Team Room

  • Team Rooms are the smaller conference spaces, typically only seating 8 to 10 people. Classrooms are the larger rooms. There is a difference in technology.
  • All classrooms have projectors. The 1001 suite has two projectors in each quadrant. It can be configured in multiple ways to suit the needs of the group. The classrooms with movable walls combine automatically when the walls are not in place.
  • All team rooms (conference rooms) have video displays. All rooms have Solstice and HDMI connection capabilities.
  • All rooms have a minimum of one camera and microphone for videoconferencing use. All classrooms have two cameras and microphone.

AED’s in the building

AED’s (Automated External Defibrillator) have been installed on each floor near the elevators. Each AED is in a wall mounted box with a sign mounted above it. Find materials on the Styker / Physion Control CR2 AED on the Stryker website.

In addition to the AED, there is an emergency supply box included in the cabinet that holds items that may be needed such as gloves, towel, and razor. The AED comes preloaded with a set of pads and includes back-up pads.
